Fare drops in Vistara flights in India | Flight deals | March 2017

Our Unfare app has spotted new flight deals! Vistara offers a sale of air tickets at discount starting Rs. 1627 in India.

Background:

The airfares in India were in a high fare period for the last one month. During this period, Vistara had hiked the price of the airfares way above others. And for the last 4 days, they have been cutting prices on a daily basis.

Is it really on sale?

Out of the 110 domestic routes of Vistara that we track, we could find fares dropping on 55 routes when compared to yesterday’s prices. Sectors like Ahmedabad – Hyderabad, Pune – Hyderabad, etc. have seen more than a 30% drop in fares compared to yesterday. Sectors like Ahmedabad – New Delhi, Hyderabad – Pune, New Delhi – Hyderabad, etc. have seen more than a 20% drop in prices today. So yes, there is indeed a fare drop, however there is no official communication from Vistara about this sale.

 Did we predict this offer?

As you are aware, we have a fare sale barometer for each airline. Based on that, yesterday’s UnfareScore for Vistara was 53.8 (anything above 50 has a chance of fare sale). So yes, this was in line with our expectations. The index today for Vistara is 37.0. So hurry! (check all airline scores here).

Compared to earlier Vistara offers

Vistara came up with a fare sale around 38 days ago on 13th February 2017. Compared to the earlier offer, this sale has 23 % higher prices. This is the 3rd discount sale for Vistara in the last 3 months. Earlier sales happened on 29th January 2017, 13th February 2017.

Given that the discounts are available only on a limited number of seats, it is important that you act fast and book your tickets at the earliest. Is it really on sale?

Out of the 30 domestic routes of Air Asia that we track, we could find fares dropping on 24 routes when compared to yesterday’s prices. Sectors like Kochi – Hyderabad, Hyderabad – Kochi, etc. have seen more than a 30% drop in fares compared to yesterday. Sectors like Kochi – Bangalore, Bangalore – Guwahati, Guwahati – Bangalore, etc. have seen more than a 20% drop in prices today. So yes, it is indeed a fare sale.

As you are aware, we have a fare sale barometer for each airline. Based on that, yesterday’s UnfareScore for Air Asia was 75.0 (anything above 50 has a chance of fare sale). So yes, this was in line with our predictions. The index today for Air Asia is 64.8, which means that this may not be one of the best offers from AirAsia in recent past.
