Our Unfare app has spotted new flight deals! SpiceJet offers a sale of air tickets at discount starting Rs. 777 in India (check the SpiceJet website). The discounts can be availed between 22nd February 2017 till 25th February 2017.
Is it really on sale?
Out of the 142 domestic routes of SpiceJet that we track, we could find fares dropping on 96 routes when compared to yesterday’s prices. The Jaipur – Hyderabad sector has seen more than 40% drop in fares compared to yesterday. Sectors like Hyderabad – Kochi, Pune – Hyderabad, Hyderabad – Jaipur, etc. have seen more than a 30% drop in prices today. So yes, it is indeed a fare sale.
Did we predict this offer?
As you are aware, we have a fare sale barometer for each airline. Based on that, yesterday’s UnfareScore for SpiceJet was 90.3 (anything above 50 has a chance of fare sale). So yes, this was clearly in line with our predictions. The index today for SpiceJet is 12.3. So hurry! (check all airline scores here).
Compared to earlier SpiceJet offers
SpiceJet came up with a fare sale around 8 days ago on 14th February 2017. Compared to the earlier offer, this sale has 4% higher prices. This is the 3rd discount sale for SpiceJet in the last couple of months. Earlier sales happened on 1st February 2017, 14th February 2017.
Where are the best flight deals?
Given that the discounts are available only on a limited number of seats, it is important that you act fast and book your tickets at the earliest. In order to help you easily find out the dates on which these low fares are available, we will be adding a tool soon to our app – Unfare. We can see that the low fares starting from Rs. 777 are available in the sectors like Agartala – Guwahati, Chennai – Hyderabad, New Delhi – Jaipur, etc. So hurry!
We had issued an advisory to all our users 2days back against booking flights due to the high fare period. We also mentioned that although it could last 3-4 weeks, any discount sale from even one of the airlines would trigger the end of the high fare period. Hence, with this sale, the advisory against booking flights would end.
We also expect other airlines like Indigo (score: 79.0), Vistara (score: 100.0), Jet Airways (score: 93.2) to cut prices as a reaction to this SpiceJet offer. This could happen either by noon today or latest by tomorrow. Hence if SpiceJet is not your preferred airline, it may be prudent to wait for reactionary offers.
